Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
CDEN is built for disabled entrepreneurs, so accessibility is a core part of what we do, not an afterthought. We want every founder to be able to use the platform fully and independently. We are working to make CDEN meet a recognized accessibility standard and to keep improving it over time.
The standard we aim for
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines are the international benchmark for making digital content usable by people with a wide range of disabilities.
We also aim to meet our obligations under the Accessible Canada Act and, in Ontario, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
Current status
CDEN is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This means most of the platform meets the standard, but some parts do not yet fully conform. We are actively working to close the remaining gaps.
Known limitations
We are aware of the following issues and are working to fix them:
Some pages need clearer navigation on larger screens.
Some text over background images may not yet meet color contrast requirements.
Some images may be missing descriptive text for screen readers.
[Update this list as issues are resolved or new ones are found.]
If you find a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us. Your feedback helps us improve.
What we are doing
To improve accessibility, we:
Design and build with WCAG 2.2 in mind from the start.
Test with keyboard navigation and screen readers.
Review new features for accessibility before release.
Invite feedback from members and act on it.
Giving us feedback
If you have trouble using any part of CDEN, or you want to request information in another format, contact us. We welcome your feedback and aim to respond within [number] business days.
Email: contactus@enabledfoundation.org
When you contact us, it helps to include the page or feature involved, the problem you ran into, and the device or assistive technology you were using.
If we cannot resolve your concern
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can escalate your concern:
In Ontario, through the process under the AODA.
Federally, through the Accessible Canada Act and the Accessibility Commissioner.
We take every concern seriously and will work with you to find a solution.
